Year 2 had a fantastic trip to Newcastle Keep yesterday. The children prepared a feast from saltdough and then took turns to act as different people at a banquet, from lords and ladies, servants, jesters and beggars! They then explored the keep itself, learning about the dungeons and being placed in the stocks to find out how prisoners felt. They then made sure that Mr O’Keeffe also knew how prisoners felt by placing him in the pillory! A brilliant time was had by everyone and we were complimented on our excellent behaviour and manners by the castle staff.
