Experimental fun in Year 4!

Year 4 have been finding out how sound causes vibrations. The vibrations made the rice jump and caused water to splash everywhere! The children loved the tuning fork experiment and caused small water explosions. Great fun.

Super Science work from Year 3!

Before Easter Year 3 investigated whether materials are magnetic or not. We really enjoyed using iron filings to detect the magnetic force. We continued to be super Scientists after Easter when we investigated that we needed light to see and how reflective a range of materials were.

In science today, Year 6 used their understanding of light and reflection to create a working periscope.. They decorated them with information about how they work and diagrams showing how the light travels.

Year 4 Scientists

Year 4 have been looking at the effects of different liquids on teeth. They used eggs to represent the enamel on our teeth and were excited by the changes to the eggs, especially the egg in orange juice. The toothbrush might be used more tonight!
