Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their Forest School session this morning. They planted wildflower seeds, tried out bark rubbing and identified leaves and birds in the area. They then painted our mini bird houses ready to turn them into bird feeders this week!
Year 2 have had an amazing morning in Forest School. They painted beautiful pictures using paints and inks they made themselves from natural materials. After a delicious hot chocolate break, they used pebbles, twigs and other finds to create mini cairn sculptures. A fantastic time was had by all!
Year 5 have had a wonderful sunny morning in Forest School. They went on the hunt for mini beasts and found millipedes, centipedes, ground beetles, woodlouse, butterflies and so many more interesting bugs! Then, they used their art skills to sketch the mini beasts they had found.
Today, Year 1 had a fabulous time in Forest School! We went exploring and discovered a large, blue egg. We think it belongs to a dinosaur- a herbivore we hope! We then made nests using natural materials, just in case any more dinosaurs want to lay their eggs in our[…]
Year 5 Forest School Yes it was wet but it certainly didn’t spoil our fun today at Forest School. We all helped make Tudor pottage and bread which we plan to taste tomorrow. We showed great teamwork skills as we created our shelters and sourced natural resources to create seats.[…]
Today, despite the rain, Year 4 had a fantastic Forest School session outdoors. They made camps before the rain came, chopped fruit for the porridge, made and ate the porridge. This cooking activity linked to their Romans topic. Roman toys, including swords and dolls, were also made. A brilliant afternoon!
