We are children of God: we achieve, believe and care.
St. Joseph’s is a happy and caring Catholic school where everyone aspires to reach their true potential with Christ at the heart of all we do.
Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School! I hope that you will enjoy looking around our site. Our aim is to give you as much information as possible about our school, the staff and the many activities our children enjoy through our curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
We are a Catholic school which prides itself on living its mission by creating a happy, caring school where everyone is encouraged and inspired to reach their true potential. I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to children’s well-being, achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in our care.
The excellent start begins in Nursery and continues through the school with staff providing a happy, supportive and purposeful environment, and a curriculum that excites and stimulates children’s imaginations and creative thinking. Our curriculum is delivered both through discrete subject teaching and a cross-curricular approach which is further enhanced by whole school themed days and events. Within our school site, we are fortunate enough to have our own playing field, two trim trails, an all-weather running track and our very own Forest School. Frequent trips, visits and a wide range of after-school clubs further add to the opportunities available to our children.
We work in partnership with parents/carers and the wider community to ensure the success of our children. We believe that children learn best when there are strong links between home and school.
We are proud to be part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust along with our feeder secondary school St Robert’s and Catholic primary schools from the parish of St. John 23rd.
The staff, children and governors are extremely proud of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and are always pleased to show visitors around so you can see for yourself what we offer all children. To find out more about our wonderful school, please do contact us.
At St. Joseph’s we LOVE reading so when the National Literacy Trust launched “The Reading Tree Challenge” we accepted! Our challenge was to cover the bare branches of the Reading Tree with lots of leaves showcasing all the books we have been busy reading. As you can see, we have created a beautiful display and we are going to add more leaves as we read more books! ... See MoreSee Less
